Systems Architect Expert

NYS Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a Systems Architect Expert to will support cloud support services, such as cloud integration technical assistance, cloud-based analytic and security programs, and training for Dept personnel on the use of cloud-based tools.

Day to Day task include:

• Design and implement service-oriented architecture, platform as a service, infrastructure as a serviceand software as a service using IBM DataPower, WSO2 API Manager, and WSO2 Identity Manager.
• Design and implement secure applications using security APIs, transport and message layer security, encryption and decryption algorithms for data security, SAML, single sign, OAuth, and multi-factor authentication.
• Be the main technical architect on projects that require a thorough understanding of systems architecture, engineering, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance and security procedures.
• Perform XSLT programming to create custom stylesheets for IBM DataPower, perform application load balancing using Kemp Application delivery controller, and initiate application deployment and monitoring using continuous integration systems and application monitoring tools.
• Architect, develop, and debug Java applications.
• Create diagrams and documentation for application and infrastructure architecture.

Requested Qualifications:

• 84 months experience with all facets of the software development process, research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.
• 84 months experience with Java framework and technology: Spring Boot, Java EE (servlet, JPA ... etc.).
• 84 months experience with relational database platforms Oracle and Postgres.
• 60 months experience in the design, implementation and deployment of Single Page Web Applications using Angular and Typescript.
• 60 months experience with SPA fundamental concepts, component-based architecture, dynamic rendering, and asynchronous programming
• 60 months experience with Git version control operations and branching strategies.

Work hours and location:

• Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
• Daily work hours: 8am-4:30pm with half hour lunch, negotiable
• Physical office location: Corning Tower, Empire State Plaza, Albany NY 12237
• Telecommuting options: 50%
