Responsibilities

Position Overview:
The Wholesale Territory Manager will oversee production and underwriting tasks for new and renewal accounts within assigned regions, aiming to promote premium growth and favorable loss ratios. This role involves close collaboration with Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) and Underwriters (UWs) and significantly influences the workflow and execution of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite and price risks for new and renewal accounts in accordance with BMP's business rules and personal underwriting authority.
  • Maintain and develop wholesale relationships within the territory to support regional production and growth goals.
  • Manage the lifecycle of submissions, including quoting, filing relevant documents, binding, issuing, and obtaining signed applications.
  • Ensure consistent underwriting best practices to maintain rating, pricing, profitability, and structuring adequacy.
  • Identify and manage special underwriting projects as needed.
  • Provide superior customer service by fully engaging with agency personnel.
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers (TMs), Assistant Vice Presidents (AVPs), and RVPs to establish and implement a sales culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years of management liability underwriting or related experience at an insurance company or agency, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications:
  • Experience contributing to a high-performing marketing/sales team in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced product knowledge within the Management Liability suite of products (D&O, Cyber, EPL, Crime, Fiduciary, and MPL).
  • Strong wholesale relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of independent agents, advocating for BMP customers and their brand experience.
  • Agile team player with strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-organize, prioritize, and seek help when needed.
  • Execution-oriented with attention to detail, driven by natural curiosity and competitive spirit.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory up to 20% of the time.

Base Salary Range: $160-180K depending on location and experience
Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus
