Description:

PGS Worldwide is seeking an experienced Tool Engineer in Palmdale, CA., to support the full lifecycle of aerospace tooling development-from concept through design, fabrication, and implementation. You will collaborate with both internal teams and external customers to ensure tools and fixtures meet performance and production goals. This is an initial 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.

Job Description:
  • Lead and coordinate the design, fabrication, and implementation of medium to large-scale tooling for aerospace manufacturing
  • Work directly with internal and external customers to define tool requirements and ensure design alignment
  • Support tooling for a variety of manufacturing applications, including composites, metallics, coatings, and general production fabrication
  • Use 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, CREO) for design and layout of complex tools and fixtures
  • Ensure tools meet quality, functional, and safety standards across multiple production environments

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience in medium to large-scale tooling design or fabrication
  • Background in production tooling for composite or metallic parts, coatings, or general manufacturing
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as CATIA, NX, or CREO
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required (for compliance purposes)


Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
  • Direct experience with aerospace tooling standards
  • Understanding of composite materials and processes
  • Previous experience with tooling implementation in a production environment
