Role Summary:

The Senior Category Manager - Life Sciences Procurement will play a critical role in shaping and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for advisory and professional services within a pharmaceutical manufacturing and research context. The role emphasizes high-level collaboration, supplier risk mitigation, and innovation in service sourcing to support clinical, commercial, and enterprise-wide pharma operations.

Major Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine category strategy for consulting services supporting Pharma Manufacturing, Commercial Ops, and Medical Affairs.

• Execute sourcing activities with emphasis on regulatory compliance, GxP standards, and supplier reliability.

• Build and maintain executive-level supplier partnerships that align with business outcomes and innovation goals.

• Partner with Compliance, QA, Clinical Development, and Legal to structure robust contracts and minimize vendor-related risks.

Preferred Background:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; advanced degree a plus.

• Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, ideally in pharma or biotech.
• Familiarity with vendor selection for GxP-relevant consulting, risk assessment, and project governance.
