Summary of the Position:

We are seeking an experienced analyst to join the San Francisco asset management team for an immediate start. The analyst will be responsible for supporting the broader asset management team. The Analyst will be responsible for quantitative financial modeling, asset performance analysis, executing on business plans, and reporting for the San Francisco office portfolio. The individual will be an integral part of all periodic updates with Investment Committee and partners, and will support operational, leasing and capital decisions. The role will involve working with teams across our core functions, including: portfolio management, asset management, development, capital markets, property management, corporate strategy, innovation, design and construction, and leasing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide analytical support to assist with the asset management function of existing residential, office and retail properties, including quarterly valuations, cash management, hold/sell analyses, and other ad hoc sensitivity analyses
  • Work with leasing team to analyze new leasing deals
  • Complete market research - through third-party data providers and communication with local brokers - to compile relevant lease comparable, sale comparable, competitive sets, development pipelines, and general market data
  • Prepare presentation materials and proposals with responsibility for written and graphic requirements
  • Annual budgeting and reforecasting in coordination with property management, design & construction, leasing, and accounting teams.
  • Execute on or establish an asset's business plan; coordinate with investment partners and participate in meetings in furtherance of the asset's business plan.
  • Supporting capital transactions (refinancing or dispositions), as they arise.
  • Analyze and manage tracking of various ongoing capital projects in coordination with design & construction teams and property management.


Skills & Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of in-office experience in an analytically rigorous Real Estate or Finance environment
  • Evident passion for real estate and desire to build a career on the principal side
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaborate with team members
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel, ARGUS Enterprise, and financial modeling
  • Thorough understanding of real estate valuation and underwriting fundamentals
  • Unwavering attention to detail
  • Prior in-office experience is required.


The base compensation range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, as well as access to our comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) plan (with matching contributions), wellness benefits and all other benefits afforded to full-time Tishman Speyer employees. This base range reflects a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skill sets, and/or licensure required of an individual in this particular role. The base range is also specific to members of Tishman Speyer's San Francisco team, as we've considered factors specific to this geography.
