Worth, TX, and sell our products to customers through Snap Kitchen Retail stores in Austin, Houston, Dallas and Ft. Worth, direct to consumer via home delivery in Texas and over 30 other states, and through grocery partners including Whole Foods Market. The Company has a long history and has established a well-known brand in its Texas markets since its founding 15 years ago.

Position Summary
The Controller will lead the accounting department and be responsible for period and year-end close, accounting operations (including AP,AR, inventory), cash management, tax compliance, and insurance. The Controller will also work closely with the CFO to provide reliable financial data and KPIs for use to the CEO and operating teams in support of the business. In addition, the Controller will ensure adequate internal controls are in place and financial statements are completed in compliance with US GAAP. This position is a critical within the organization and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

What you will do...
- Directly supervise team consisting of a Senior Accountant and a Staff Accountant.
- Lead period-end close process; establish and coordinate schedules to ensure timely and accurate financial results are provided to management.
- Prepare and present financial reporting package to the Board of Directors and senior leadership team.
- Partner cross-functionally to support business initiatives with a proactive, practical and solution-oriented approach.
- Lead the development, documentation and maintenance of process improvements and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Work with direct reports to implement on-going improvements to the business through automation and streamlining of procedures.
- Prepare Company to progress towards audited financial statements
- Oversee all other audits as required (i.e. tax, statutory, insurance, etc.) and help provide supporting documentation.
- Manage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Work with CFO to support treasury function, manage bank accounts and banking relationship and optimize liquidity and working capital.
- Manage insurance coverages and claims, and interact as needed with key business partners (e.g., landlords, vendors, Whole Foods).
- Provide support in managing the Company's key IT and technology functions.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance and propose recommendations.
- Maintain high standards of ethics, integrity and honesty.
Who you are...
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year university.
- CPA required.
- 7+ years in a financial or accounting operations role.
- Experience working across departments to implement new processes and improvement upon existing processes.
- Senior manager level supervision experience.
- Experience with Sage ERP, Ramp AP platform and ability to learn other
- Retail and/or food manufacturing experience a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow through.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical abilities.
