Job Description

Wonderful and well known outpatient Orthopedic practice located in Westchester, NY, is currently seeking and experienced Physical Therapist, DPT to join their dedicated staff. Please apply for more details.

Physical Therapist / DPT
Flexible hours : M/W/F 7am-4pm, T/Th 11am-8pm with an hour lunch each day OR M/W/F 11am-8pm, T/Th 7am-4pm with an hour lunch each day.
Salary : $90,000 to $110,000 depending on experience

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:

• Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention. Inform patients when diagnosis reveals findings outside physical therapy and refer to appropriate practitioners.
• Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in EMR.
• Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment (modalities, manual treatment, therapeutic ex, etc.) to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
• Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
• Communicate with support personnel regarding patient care.
• Provide educational information about physical therapy and physical therapists, injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote health.
• Discharge patients from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provide appropriate follow-up care or referrals. Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home.

Requirements:

• Must be a Licensed Physical Therapist in NY State with 2 years of exp.
• Ortho or ambulatory/outpatient exp highly preferred, but not required.
