We're looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team based in the 8330 Chester st office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Director of Accounting and Finance.

Job Overview: The Finance Manager is to manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department and lead the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams. This role will have a large focus on enduring optimization of the functions within our ERP, Infor Syteline, over the entire accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

You will have the opportunity to:
Manage key accounting functions to ensure the conformity to company policy
Ensure proper and timely accounting of all fund receipts and disbursements
Ensure proper control and segregation of duties to protect the company resources
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including review of AP accruals, reporting, and reconciliations
Ensure the accurate application of commodity taxes, along with the consistent and timely reporting and filing of all necessary commodity tax returns
Guide the accounts payable and accounts receivable teams setting their objectives and monitor their key results
Develop and maintain AP and tax-related internal controls, procedures, and documentation
Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance automation within the AP and tax reporting cycles
Provide strong leadership for team development and co-ordination across all other departments
Engage with other departments to maintain effective communication
Utilize the ERP system and implement process improvements continuously

You will be a good fit if you:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and commodity tax compliance
2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role
Strong understanding of commodity tax regulations and experience managing commodity taxes in a corporate environment
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills, with a proven ability to streamline processes, maximize efficiencies in all tasks, and maximize utilization of the ERP's functionalities
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Prior experience with Infor Syteline is considered an asset
