The Opportunity:

Join CACI as an Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization), SME to lead virtualization efforts within the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) team for USSTRATCOM. You will design and manage virtual environments, integrate site-specific technologies, and drive infrastructure modernization, delivering mission-critical IT capabilities in a dynamic environment. Experience with DoDAF, particularly transitioning to UAF, and Nettrain is a plus for aligning with DoD standards and training systems. The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, with the position contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualization), SME:

  • Designs, implements, and manages virtualization technologies and environments to optimize IT infrastructure and resource utilization


  • Configures and maintains virtual machines and manages hypervisors


  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to virtualization infrastructure, including performance and connectivity problems


  • Assists with the integration of site-specific hardware, firmware, and software into the RBS baseline


  • Assists with the design and implementation of virtualization systems and network improvements as required


  • Helps to identify redundant systems and excessive operational costs that do not significantly impact system availability and securityrovides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments


  • Possesses domain and expert technical knowledge


  • May supervise others


Qualifications:

Required:

  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility


  • Required 8140 Certification: 671 - Intermediate (e.g., CEH, CFR, Cloud+, SSCP, PenTest+, Security+, GSEC) OR applicable ABET-accredited/CAE-designated degree OR equivalent training OR Foundational Qualification Alternative (DoD Component Waiver).


  • Required Certification (one of the following within 6 months):VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), Red Hat Certified Engineer in Virtualization (RHCE-V)


  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.


  • Proven ability to lead virtualization initiatives in fast-paced, mission-critical environments while managing multiple priorities.


Desired Skills:

  • Open CA Certified Architect


  • Open CA Master Certified Architect


  • FEAC Blackbelt Architect


  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) OR Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect


  • OMG Certifications: Unified Architecture Framework (OUP), UML (OCUP 2), SysML (OCSMP)


  • TOGAF 9 or newer


  • ArchiMate 3 or newer


  • INCOSE ASEP or CSEP

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$99,000 - $217,700
