Overview
This is a remote position.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the health and quality of small to mid-scale client projects, focusing on maintaining margin, delivery efficiency and quality, risk mitigation and resolution, and the mentorship of Program Managers. They will have the ability to drive clarity on ambiguous client requests, schedule/monitor/track progress towards planned deliverables, manage risks to scope, timeline and budget, support the team in resolving any conflict and work with clients on re-negotiation of expectations as needed.

Compensation Range: $87,210 - $119,300. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the health and quality of small to mid-scale client projects, focusing on maintaining margin, delivery efficiency and quality, risk mitigation and resolution, and the mentorship of Program Managers. They will have the ability to drive clarity on ambiguous client requests, schedule/monitor/track progress towards planned deliverables, manage risks to scope, timeline and budget, support the team in resolving any conflict and work with clients on re-negotiation of expectations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Work with account and client stakeholders to instill and enforce processes, workflows and tools that support the profitable delivery of client work.
- Contribute to a culture of delivery efficiency and excellence with Program department.
- Responsible for the scoping and management of multiple concurrent small to mid-scale projects and client engagements totaling over $1-2MM annually.
- Partner with Client Service, Delivery and Finance leads to actively manage business challenges, client relationships, developing estimates and staffing plans against scoped work, and maintaining profit margin.
- Partner with Strategy and Analytics to align projects with organizational goals, define project objectives and KPIs, and set measurement frameworks to track project success.
- Partner with Creative and Experience to effectively shepherd and manage the evolution of design work, ensuring quality at all points from concept through delivery.
- Partner with Technology and Quality Assurance to execute and deliver technical builds, ensuring creative, functional and experience quality and accessibility compliance.
- Maintain and enforce high standards of communication and documentation, including status and financial reports, timelines, scopes, change orders, burn reports and forecasting, best practices and asset management.
- Manage small to medium projects independently, with some oversight, from initiation through completion
- Maintain departmental values, vision, direction and responsibilities with team stakeholders.
- Partner with internal team to continuously optimize existing operational processes and systems.
- Provide solutions-oriented management with a strong ability to creatively solve problems with a positive, professional demeanor and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Work with Senior level stakeholders to manage client relationships and actively provide ideas to upsell work.
- Proactively manage, provide guidance, and develop clear communication around program and business-related risks, including mitigation planning and crisis management.
- Actively participate in agency new business opportunities/initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of project management experience, preferably within an media agency setting
- Project management software such as Smartsheets, Adobe Workfront, Confluence, Jira, Monday, Trello, etc.
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Box, Power BI
- Experience managing website design and development
- Familiar with project management methodologies such as waterfall, agile, scrum and kanban
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
- Ability to gracefully flex with changing scope and client expectations, adjust project plans and timing as needed, manage team tasks and drive forward progress, resolve conflicts, apply critical thinking skills to problem solving
- Self-manages workload, takes initiative, and proactively seeks process efficiencies and optimizations
- Experience managing marketing campaign projects, including media deliverables such as online display, OLV and social media is a plus
- Experience with flexible, iterative approaches like Agile and Scrum frameworks is a plus
