Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support the implementation of Transparent Database Encryption (TDE) across all non-Cardinal systems.
This is a full-time contract position with an end date of June 30, 2025.
Forty hours per week
Onsite Monday through Wednesday
Telework Thursday and Friday
Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
*This will be a SHORT-TERM ROLE. Contract ends on June 30, 2025 - NO possibility of extension due to budget. Pls make sure your candidate is aware BEFORE SUBMITTING!
Dept of Accounts (DOA) - this location is downtown. Parking is NOT provided for contractors.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Deploy TDE across all non-Cardinal databases to ensure encryption at rest.
Configure and maintain TDE settings, keys, and certificates in line with security policies.
Ensure minimal disruption during the encryption process while maintaining system availability.
Implement and enforce best practices for database administration, focusing on performance, security, and availability.
Optimize database performance through efficient configuration, monitoring, and tuning.
Maintain database security by managing access controls, auditing, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
ddress and resolve audit findings related to database security and operations, specifically those raised in audits.
ssist in creating and updating documentation to ensure continuous compliance with audit standards.
