Job Summary:
The Manager Application Development and Support is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions across the enterprise. This role involves managing a team of CPQ analysts primarily and other resources, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring the CPQ system aligns with business objectives to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.

Job Summary:
The Manager Application Development and Support is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Oracle CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions across the enterprise. This role involves managing a team of CPQ analysts primarily and other resources, collaborating with various departments, and ensuring the CPQ system aligns with business objectives to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and People Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of CPQ analysts and developers, providing guidance, execute configurator projects.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- CPQ System Management:
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of CPQ configurator and commerce solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations, Product Offering Managers, and other stakeholders to capture requirements and ensure the CPQ system meets business needs.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve functionality and user experience.
- Monitor production support tickets to identify patterns, root causes and provide resolutions by working with stakeholders. Aim for best customer service.
- Project Management:
- Manage CPQ-related projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and outcomes.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the CPQ system, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to optimize CPQ workflows.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CPQ technology to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience with Oracle CPQ (or other CPQ) system, implementing and supporting.
- Strong technical skills and understanding of business processes related to CPQ.
- Proven experience in people management, including leading and developing teams.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with associated applications like CRM and ERP.
- Certification in Oracle CPQ or related technologies.
