Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Accountant to support multi-site manufacturing operations across Southern California. Reporting directly to the Regional Controller, this role will be hands-on with daily accounting operations, monthly close activities, and financial reporting, while also supporting process improvement and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong standard cost and ERP system experience, thrives under tight deadlines, and can effectively partner with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations & Financial Close
  • Prepare and post recurring and ad hoc journal entries
  • Reconcile bank accounts, PayPal, and other cash equivalents
  • Maintain trend and variance analysis reports for leadership review
  • Perform GL-to-subledger reconciliations

Inventory & Margin Reporting
  • Post inventory transactions and analyze margin by product line weekly
  • Track and report internal KPIs; deliver daily/weekly sales reporting to Corporate

Accounts Receivable & Cash Management
  • Manage customer invoicing, statements, and cash application
  • Oversee collections and monitor customer deposits
  • Administer PayPal (order-to-cash cycle) and process customer credit memos
  • Audit AR for freight and sales tax accuracy

Audit & Compliance
  • Support external audits (interim and year-end)
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation
  • Execute banking tasks including wires, ACHs, and exception reporting

Cross-Functional & Project Support
  • Partner with sales team on rebate, warranty, and reporting needs
  • Serve as backup for sales order entry as needed
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and policy implementation projects


Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; standard cost experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables required; VLOOKUPs and formulas a plus).
  • Experience with large ERP systems; EIQ (formerly IQMS) highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical thinker with a hands-on approach.
  • Comfortable supporting multiple sites and working across functions.

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and manufacturing cost accounting (especially standard cost).
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and integration with accounting processes.
  • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
  • Clear and professional communicator across all levels of the organization.
  • Resilient and flexible in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Salary Description

$80K-$90K per annum
