The Opportunity
The Manager of Philanthropy -- Leadership Giving will focus on expanding the community of existing donors and prospects who contribute at the leadership giving level, range of up to $100,000. This role will also involve proactively building a new pool of prospects to support the hospital's funding priorities. The ideal candidate will work to maximize the potential of the current donor base with a primary emphasis on increasing the number of leadership giving donors. Additionally, the Manager will aim to enhance the major gifts portfolio and secure planned giving commitments in line with annual goals. This position reports to the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships and will collaborate closely with the WCH/F leadership teams, as well as key volunteers and stakeholders.

Core Deliverables:
- Develops and implements strategies for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individuals and private foundations in the $10,000 - $100,000 level.
- Responsible for a portfolio of 100-120 mid-level and major gift donors/prospects up to $100,000.
- Lead the organization's strategy for leadership giving, donor engagement, and stewardship, including the 100Women giving circle.
- Work closely with the Manager of Annual Giving to identify leadership and major gift donors by analyzing donor data, including giving history, demographics, and engagement metrics.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the organization's mission and funding priorities, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team, Stewardship team, and key hospital stakeholders to create compelling donor opportunities, funding proposals and stewardship initiatives.
- Oversee portfolio management working collaboratively with all Foundation departments (Senior Leadership, Philanthropy, Donor Services, Marketing and Communications, and Stewardship teams) to ensure an unparalleled donor experience.
- Oversee donor management processes in Raiser's Edge NXT to support an active and effective Moves Management system, which includes maintaining up-to-date, accurate, and comprehensive donor and prospect profiles.
- Manage the timely and high-quality production of briefing materials, proposals, and presentations for the personal portfolios of donors and prospects.
- Demonstrate professionalism and act as an ambassador for WCHF at events and meetings, with proven experience collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
- Work in partnership with WCH/F leadership on volunteer engagement, grateful patient relationships, proposal development and approval, and stewardship activities.
- Contribute to efficient organizational processes and procedures and bring an approach of innovation and creative thinking.
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Post-secondary education with a focus in fundraising, sales, business development or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a fundraising or similar business development environment with demonstrated success in fundraising and meeting KPIs.
- Knowledge and experience in gift planning will be considered an asset.
- Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence when working with a wide range of stakeholders, including the Board of Directors and volunteers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently, superior organizational skills, strict attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Entrepreneurial, creative and strategic with a growth mindset.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, proposal writing experience.
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and database management, experience with Raiser's Edge considered an asset.
- Availability to travel within the GTA and work outside of normal business hours as needed.
