WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
The Senior Manager of FP&A works to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of operating departments as well as indirect expenses. This position extracts financial and statistical data from various accounting and information systems. The incumbent performs complex statistical cost and financial analyses of financial reports and data and prepares subsequent narrative analysis for management, including analytics of Key Performance Indicators.
This high visibility role provides Operating Managers & the Senior Leadership Team with detailed and in-depth analysis of our ongoing operations and initiatives, in order to maximize short-term and long-term financial success. This role influences and supports all BMR Operating and G&A departments, including BMR leadership via providing support and justification for high level decision making.

- Managing FP&A processes and supervising FP&A staff.
- Analyzing complex financial actions and preparing recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
- Analyzing financial information to determine present status of the company or department and to forecast future financial performance. Liaising with Alterra Shared Services as required.
- Preparing studies, reports, and analyses in areas such as operating/capital budgets, operating/capital forecasts, financial plans, reporting requirements, statistical reports, cash flow projections, KPIs and business forecasts.
- Coordinating with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, new business planning, trending future requirements, and operating forecasts.
- Researching and preparing reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- CPA Accounting designation
- Five plus years in a similar position, or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial and non-financial data, and communicate the information to operational departments for decision making.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Advanced computer skills especially in MS Excel, ERP and BI software with an ability to develop and modify financial models for budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
