Job description:

The Marketing manager is responsible for developing, integrating, and monitoring marketing calendar/strategies, with a string focus on brand communication. This individual will also lead the entire marketing process within our New Country Entry (NCE) process when openings new markets. Lastly this individual will support with the management of our local Ad Funds.

This position will oversee execution of calendar, with a strong focus on communication, and go-to market strategy of each initiative, from concept to restaurant. Ensuring all initiates are aligned with our Franchisees & our internal team and complying with Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen brand guidelines. Also, will collaborate building our annual Marketing Brand/Calendar plan, based on consumer insights, & market trends. Will support on the development of best-in-class innovation concepts and will oversee the marketing part of the NCE process.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Achieve competitive traffic and sales results.
  • Develop Marketing Plans.
  • Ensure all Marketing activities are alignment within the brand essence.
  • Ensure all campaigns are in line with brand equity, legal and visual identity.
  • Ensure ATL & BTL actions are lined with brand guidelines and ensure them to accomplish the objectives.
  • Lead New Country Entry Marketing process (Comms)
  • Lead routines with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous alignment and progress.
  • Lead interactions with global Brand teams to streamline major initiatives.
  • Manages project teams and timelines to deliver products and programs. Strong leadership of cross-functional partners required.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations for category strategy reflecting competitive and consumer trends and market needs.
  • Supports creation of the innovation roadmap that delivers against objectives and strategies.
  • Strategic assessment of platforms within competitive context.
  • Tracking Strategic projects.
  • Maintain weekly meetings with PLK FZEs


Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, MBA- an advantage
  • Experience: 4 - 6 years as Category manager; specific experience in Marketing Innovation & Consumer Insights
  • Experience in retail & Food industry-a must
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Solid problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally.
  • Project management experience and nutrition and R&D background (desirable)
  • Negotiation and analytical skills
  • Fluent in Spanish & English
  • Vendor management
