This position is available within the University of Maryland's Division of Information Technology (DIT).
The Workday HCM Analyst is a key member within the Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Services team at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Division of Information Technology (DIT). Reporting to the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) Director, this position is responsible for supporting areas within the Workday platform related to key employee lifecycle functions including hire, onboard, I-9/E-Verify, visa compliance, personnel business transactions, and workplace safety, as well as other HR related activities.
This role serves as a Workday functional expert to design, configure, test and implement solutions based on business requirements. Collaboration and partnership with central business owners, tenant partners and cross functional ERP teams is also a key responsibility. The Workday Analyst evaluates, shares and implements new system release functionality and enhancements based on business stakeholder priorities.
The successful candidate is a highly motivated team player that is expected to provide increased value, improved efficiencies and exceptional service to our campus community and tenant partners.
This position is considered essential and may be required to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergency to help maintain the continuity of University services.
Physical Demands: The incumbent works in an office environment and the position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to attend meetings on and off campus. Evening and weekend work may be required to meet deadlines. Ability to attend meetings at partner and customer offices.
Preferences: ERP Workday experience with HR Core functionality including Hire, Onboarding, I-9/E-Verify, and Visa Compliance. Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills. Strong Facilitation, Collaboration, and Partnership Skills. Strong experience with issue resolution. ERP Reporting, Dashboard, and Mass Data Load experience is a plus.
Licenses/ Certifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of professional information technology experience in the areas of business process analysis, business systems analysis, or process improvement.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
Knowledge of business analysis activities such as analyzing requirements, testing and verification, and user and developer help manual documentation.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Google Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.

Please note that all positions within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) have an in person component with expected time in our College Park, MD location per week. Telework is not a guaranteed work arrangement.
