- Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques.
- Knowledge of various types of surgical equipment.
Description:
Burlington is a 123-bed facility with a Trauma Level III designation and serves as a Primary Stroke Center.
The facility includes 3 Operating Rooms.
Pediatrics are seen with ENT and are usually done once per week, making up 5-10% of the case load.
Preferred experience with pediatrics.
Charting system used is EPIC.
Pyxis and Alaris are utilized for equipment.
Support on the unit includes a Charge Nurse who does not take assignments.
Surgeons are present during the day and on call after cases are completed.
Anesthesia staff is available for cases and on call after cases.
A surgery scheduler is present during the day.
An OR aid works as a secretary.
There will be floating to 2 other sites, with a schedule provided weekly.
Orientation will be 1-3 shifts based on comfort level.
Time off requests can be approved through management.
Holiday coverage includes 1 in the summer and 1 in the winter.
On Call RN & CST required every 6th weekend from Friday afternoon to Monday morning, and 1 night per week with a response time of 30 minutes.
Scrub color is procedural and will be provided.
