Key Details:
  • Compensation: The base salary for this role is $95K-$105K DOE. Additional performance-based incentives are tied to Private Dining sales, with an emphasis on generating new business. Total compensation may reach $120K+ depending on results.

Your Role: As our Service & Sales Director, you will lead all front-of-house operations, ensuring that every guest experience is exceptional, whether in regular dining, private dining, or at the bar. In this role, you'll also oversee the Private Dining and Events sales team and help drive the strategy for revenue growth across both private dining and regular dining. You will supervise and work closely with both the sales and service team members to ensure excellence in team and guest experience and in business performance.

In close collaboration with ownership, the Executive Chef, and the FOH management team, you will help refine and implement our standards of hospitality while fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture. Your leadership will be critical in mentoring the team, optimizing service processes, and maintaining a seamless connection between the front and back of house.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate Culture: Develop and nurture a workplace environment that promotes inclusivity, growth, and excellence in service.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the FOH management team, including the Private Dining & Events sales coordinator(s), guiding them through training, performance reviews, and coaching initiatives.
  • Revenue & Sales Strategy: Drive revenue growth and performance for both service and private dining programs, setting goals and working collaboratively with team leads to achieve results.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the use of systems, structures, and tools to ensure smooth, efficient service during all dining programs, including bar, main dining, patio, and private events.
  • Service Oversight: Be present on the floor to monitor service quality and food standards, ensuring effective communication and collaboration between FOH and BOH teams.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full cycle of FOH recruitment, onboarding, and performance improvement, ensuring the team meets established KPIs and maintains HR compliance.
  • Communication Leadership: Lead daily team briefings and weekly inter-departmental meetings to align on goals, share updates, and troubleshoot challenges.
  • Resource Expertise: Serve as the primary resource for menu details, wine lists, and key aspects of our Peruvian culinary traditions, ensuring all team members are well-informed and confident in their roles.


Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of management experience in a fine dining or comparable service environment, with a proven track record in team leadership and project management.
  • Experience overseeing or building private dining, special events, or sales-driven programs.
  • Hospitality Expertise: Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service standards; familiarity with Peruvian cuisine and/or Pacific Northwest F&B trends is a plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience with labor budgeting, food and beverage cost controls, or similar financial management responsibilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with revenue-driving strategies or event sales KPIs.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; conversational Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of office applications (G-Suite, Word, Excel) and experience with POS/reservation systems (Upserve, Tock, Resy, OpenTable).
  • Licensing: Must possess valid permits as required (e.g., Oregon Food Handlers, OLCC Service, ServeSafe Managers).
