Le Collge royal et ses membres font quipe avec les patientes et patients, les mdecins en formation, ainsi que toute la communaut des soins de sant pour jouer un rle de chef de file en matire de formation mdicale spcialise en tablissant des normes, en procdant des valuations et en favorisant l'apprentissage continu en vue d'optimiser les soins.

Relevant de la gestionnaire des Services langagiers, votre principale fonction consiste traduire et rviser de l'anglais au franais divers types de contenus. Ainsi, vous devrez faire preuve d'une grande polyvalence et vous adapter aux besoins de l'organisation.

Aperu de vos tches quotidiennes
Vous serez responsable de la traduction et de la rvision de divers documents de l'anglais au franais.
Vous veillerez l'utilisation uniforme de la terminologie et l'application des normes internes et des prfrences des partenaires.
Vous procderez des vrifications d'assurance de la qualit pour assurer l'exactitude des traductions avant la livraison finale.
Vous assurerez la liaison avec les parties prenantes, les collgues et les services externes afin de fournir des conseils sur des questions lies la linguistique.
Vous assisterez occasionnellement des runions virtuelles des fins d'information.

Ce profil vous correspond?
Scolarit, formation et exprience quivalent un diplme en traduction
Cinq ans ou plus d'exprience confirme en traduction et en rvision
Connaissance approfondie de la thorie et des pratiques de traduction, de rvision, de correction d'preuves et de terminologie
Excellentes comptences en planification, capacit de respecter les chances et aptitude travailler de faon indpendante et au sein d'une quipe
Capacit de communiquer de faon claire, concise et efficace
Connaissance des outils de traduction assiste par ordinateur
Agrment en traduction ou volont de l'obtenir, un atout

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is a national, nonprofit organization established in 1929 by a special Act of Parliament to oversee the medical education of specialists in Canada. Today, the Royal College has over 55,000 members and the vision remains to advance the learning for specialist physicians to deliver the best health care for all. The Royal College partners with patients, Fellows, residents, and other health care collaborators to lead specialty medical education through setting standards, assessment, and enabling continuous learning so that we can provide the best care possible for patients.

Reporting to the manager of Language Services, your primary function is to translate and revise from English to French various types of content. As such, you will be expected to be incredibly versatile and to adapt to organizational needs. You will liaise with stakeholders to resolve potential issues regarding translation. You will occasionally attend virtual meetings for information and collaboration purposes.

Here's an insight into your typical day-to-day
You will be responsible for translating and revising from English to French various documents
You will ensure the consistent use of terminology, as well as the application of internal standards and clients' preferences
You will perform quality assurance verifications to ensure accuracy of translated versions before final deliveries
You will liaise with stakeholders, colleagues, and external services to provide advice and guidance on linguistics-related questions.
You will occasionally attend virtual meetings for information purposes

You come to us with:
Level of education, training and experience equivalent to a degree in translation.
Five years or more of directly related experience in translation and revision.
In-depth knowledge of theory and practices of translation, revision, proofreading and terminology research.
Excellent organizational skills, an ability to observe multiple deadlines and to work independently or as a part of a team.
Clear, concise and effective communication skills.
Knowledge of Computer Assisted Translation Tools.
Certification in translation or willingness to obtain it, an asset.
