Title: Assistant General Manager of The Pinery Country Club
Department: Food and Beverage
FLSA Status: Exempt
Scope:
Helps manage the day-to-day golf and food and beverage operations activities through maintaining quality standards, hiring and training golf shop, outside service and food and beverage employees, managing merchandise activities, handling all aspects of the outing business and providing superior guest service. Directs and coordinates activities of the food and beverage departments, maintaining established operational standards and maximizing profits for the golf course.

Qualifications:
Education / Experience: Four-year degree and supervisory experience preferred. 3 years prior golf course experience with progressive responsibility required. Resort experience helpful, but not required. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance. A minimum of two years food and beverage and/or hospitality related work experience required. Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit exemplary performance.
Certification and/or License Requirement:
Food service permit as required by local or state government agency. ServSafe certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Pay Range: $56,485.00 - $150,000.00

Primary Responsibilities:
- Promotes Evergreen Alliance Golf's philosophies throughout the golf course to both employees and guests.
- Ensures level of guest service delivery is exceptional at all times.
- Responsible for the supervision of all golf and food and beverage staff including, but not limited to, the pro shop staff, assistant golf professionals, bag room, cart and range attendants, player assistants, caddies, locker room staff, assistant food and beverage manager, kitchen manager, chef, servers and beverage cart attendants.
- Responsible for designing and implementing programs for all golf and food and beverage activities at the club. This includes, but is not limited to, guest services, course marshalling, outside services, golf cart operations, outside tournaments, tee sheet management and driving range operations.
- Oversees the pro shop operation.
- Participates with Director of Instruction in individual and group golf clinics and training programs.
- Develops and implements an approved budget, short and long term forecasts and staffing plans for the golf and food and beverage department.
- Maintains and records all sales records including cash receipts, member charges and voids for golf and food and beverage operations.
- Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Develops new menu items and sets pricing, keeping in tune with the market.
- Improves existing practices and services both in the front of the house and the back of the house.
- Communicates financial information to the General Manager on a daily basis, including up-to-date budget information and revenue growth programs.
- Achieves budgeted revenues, controls cost (which include labor, food, maintenance, etc.) and maximizes profitability related to the facility operations.
- Takes an active role in sales and marketing by surveying market to know guest needs, creating special menus for catered events to increase sales and developing innovative ideas to increase average checks, increase covers and increase liquor sales in restaurant.
- Aggressively recruits and staffs department using company hiring standards.
- Conducts regular food and beverage meetings, providing objective and constructive feedback for the employees. Takes time to listen to employee concerns and deals with any challenges in a timely manner.
- Effectively holds training classes for all food and beverage employees to effectively train on safety, proper procedures and service guidelines.
- Maintains constant communication between departments and keeps other departments informed about special programs and events.
- Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
