Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City, MO is seeking a BC/BE Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our well-established outpatient practice at Crittenton Children's Center. Crittenton Children's Center is located on a 96 acre campus in South Kansas City, and as part of Saint Luke's Health System, provides compassionate behavioral health care for Kansas City's children and families. Our multidisciplinary treatment teams utilize evidence-based therapies to help children develop emotional regulation, communication skills, and lifelong strategies for resilience. We offer comprehensive services, including inpatient hospitalization, residential treatment, outpatient clinic care, adolescent substance use programs, in-home counseling, foster care and adoption support, and intensive outpatient treatment for substance use. Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City, MO is seeking a BC/BE Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our well-established outpatient practice at Crittenton Children's Center. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dedicated team providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care to children and their families.
About the Position
- Join a collaborative team of board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, social workers, and professional counselors offering comprehensive services, including foster care case management, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychological testing, psychotherapy, and evidence-based care plans
- Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, in an office-based setting where the physician will be expected to see between 13-15 patients per day
- Outpatient-only position with limited inpatient call responsibilities - evening call (phone call) is shared on a 1:8 rotation, with weekend rounding also at a 1:8 frequency
- Serve a high-acuity population, working with children in the foster system and those with complex trauma histories, extensive medication regimens, and multiple behavioral health & social challenges
- Strong referral base from Saint Luke's internal clinics, local therapists, foster care programs, and recent discharges from Crittenton's inpatient hospital

- The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children, particularly those in the foster system
- Requirements: Eligible for MO/KS state medical licenses, BC/BE in psychiatry, successful completion of a psychiatry residency program, and must be in the process of or have completed a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship program
