A Little More About What You Will be Doing
The RN Supervisor Case Management will assist in the daily operations of the department. Primary responsibility is to provide oversight of the daily workflow within the department to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy and timeliness of the work from staff. Will develop policies and procedures, trains, coaches and mentors the staff in collaboration with the Manager. The supervisor will collaborate with collaborators to ensure staff obtains appropriate training and education for staff.

A Little More About What You Will be Doing
The RN Supervisor Case Management will assist in the daily operations of the department. Primary responsibility is to provide oversight of the daily workflow within the department to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy and timeliness of the work from staff. Will develop policies and procedures, trains, coaches and mentors the staff in collaboration with the Manager. The supervisor will collaborate with collaborators to ensure staff obtains appropriate training and education for staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides direct supervision of the staff.
- Supervises daily workflow within department to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy and timeliness of referrals processing.
- Identifies areas that need improvement, collaborates with collaborators to implement changes that improve overall workflow and customer service.
- Develops policies and procedures for Utilization/Referrals department under the mentorship of the Manager.
- Trains, coaches, and mentors staff and evaluates performance on an annual basis, under the mentorship of the Manager.
- Serves as a real time resource for trouble shooting and service recovery.
- Responsible for supervising the daily work queues and turn abound times.
- Refines and reassigns duties for staff to ensure efficient workflows.
- Onboard and trains new employees with the Lead.
- Develops performance improvement plans for staff.
- Educates provider offices in conjunction with Network Management.
- Collaborates with the Quality Improvement for staff education.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's of Science degree from an Accredited School of Nursing.
License/Certification:
- RN California state license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) for Registered Nurse preferred.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of Managed Care operations experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of acute nursing, discharge planning and HMO, previous case management experience, utilization review, and knowledge of medical/nursing standards of care preferred.
