OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY
The Vice President of Operations & Maintenance Services plays a critical role in developing and driving company strategy, profitability of our Operations & Maintenance contract portfolio, continuous improvement and delivering a best-in-class client experience. This role is critical in ensuring the entire Energy Service organization successfully balances client experience with NAES shareholder returns.
The ideal candidate will use their experience to ensure we effectively manage our client's risk and NAES' risk by leading the team to exceed industry benchmarks and provide a consistent, reliable, best-in-class service experience to our clients. This role is responsible for direct and indirect management of a team responsible to deliver on NAES' contract obligations for a portfolio of multiple Operation & Maintenance contracts delivering continuous, turnkey services for production facilities that include a variety of plant types and sizes. The role will deliver NAES profitability and gross margin performance, best in class safety, compliance, operations, quality, cost management, and client experience, acting as a key change leader by driving performance.
This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Energy Services, and will be a key member of the Energy Services leadership team. The ideal candidate will inspire and manage a team of approximately 700 - 1000 employees through multiple direct and indirect reports with significant overall revenue responsibility within the NAES Energy Services division.

The initial compensation will range from $236,900 to $272,450 based on experience and qualifications.

All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer drug screening.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While a remote location will be considered, ideally the successful candidate will be reasonably located to a major airport as significant travel is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership to entire Energy Services team and directly to Operations & Maintenance Services team
- Instill a strong and consistent One-Team culture and lead this by example
- Proactive member of Energy Services senior leadership team responsible for overall division performance in all areas
- Establish, implement, and communicate Energy Services goals and objectives that are aligned with our strategic objectives
- Set, meet, and exceed financial targets that are based on strategic plan and vision
- Develop growth strategy and be a change agent in the organization that drives execution
- Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the performance of your department and the division
- Stay up to date on market trends and prepare market views to support strategic planning and senior management meetings
- Assist, as required, in identifying and evaluating potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships to enable the company to meet sales, growth, and market share objectives
- Foster a results-oriented, accountable environment and drive the Company Culture
- Represent the company with clients and business partners
- Directly support business development meetings
- Support and work closely with Commercial leadership to establish consistent price and cost models, scope reviews, risk reviews and contract performance feedback
- Track company metrics focused on maintaining current and increasing revenue and profitability
- Budget preparation and compliance accountability for assigned division P&L budgets
- Direct accountability for consistent employee performance management
- Maximize team effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, training and coaching managers and holding them accountable to successfully perform their role as managers. Live and communicate values, strategies, objectives, and accountabilities.
- Direct successful resolution of complex client or internal conflict or coaching other to same. Drive standardization while instilling a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, safety, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent service delivery, support and execution
- Influence advanced planning and promote efficiencies while proactively responding to imminent needs as they arise
- As needed: identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline operational processes and most efficiently utilize resources
- Ability to handle a wide diversity of work situations that are extremely complex in nature. Utilize and leverage network inside and outside the company, clients and suppliers, as well as other departments within the company.
- Interact and report to the Company Board and Shareholders as requested by executive management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the power or similar industry with at least 5 years in upper-level management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct client services related industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or other industry-related field required (or equivalent practical experience); MBA preferred
- Exceptional leadership, communication and team building is a must
- Experience driving business performance improvement
- Experience with development of others, including remote employee management, as well as experience leading organizational change or transformation
- Strong time management skills: ability to effectively prioritize, manage multiple projects, people and challenges concurrently, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Substantial supervisory experience in the energy services environment required, especially in the specific area of plant operations and maintenance
- Proficient user of computer systems including MS software applications in a Windows environment. Moderate to advanced expertise with Excel. Able to quickly learn new and proprietary database systems.
- For sites or situations where the VP, Operation and Maintenance Services is the most senior leader, also supervise other functional areas located in the facility or on the local/project team
