Occupational Therapist - Pediatric and Inpatient Focus

Salary: $34.00 - $45.00 per hour, inclusive of shift differentials, extensive benefits, and a $20K sign-on bonus

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' condition based on professional assessment techniques and clinical diagnostics
  • Interpret assessment findings and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
  • Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to ensure patients reach their maximum functional capabilities
  • Provide specialized care mainly for pediatric patients while also managing acute inpatient and swing bed patients
  • Offer outpatient therapy for adults as needed, fostering a versatile treatment environment
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care
  • Adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical judgements
  • Maintain patient records and document therapy outcomes to ensure accurate monitoring of progress and treatment efficacy
  • Assist in the training and professional development of new staff and occupational therapy interns

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Ohio
  • Proven experience in pediatric occupational therapy with capabilities to handle inpatient care
  • Strong understanding of applicable regulations and standards affecting Occupational Therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
  • Capability to work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation setting
  • Advanced certifications in pediatric or neurologic occupational therapy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in outpatient care settings
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
