Direct oversight of Radiology Technologists and maintains the technical aspects of radiology services. Functions as a liaison between physicians and technologists and support staff. Recommends equipment modification and evaluates the quality and accuracy of the Radiology images. Accountable for the services performed by the Radiology Department. Responsible for the selection, hiring, training, and performance of staff for compliance with accreditation, legal, and other regulatory requirements. May perform Radiology procedures and administrative duties which support the department.

Incumbent will work variable shifts, as needed to complete responsibilities and meet the needs of the imaging area. The manager is expected to be involved with duties supporting the team and patient care. This position will assist in identification of goals and has shared responsibilities with the Director for process improvements on the unit/department.

Manager/s have responsibility for activities at one or more locations and as such are required to respond 24/7 to clinical, business, patient, and operational issues that may arise. While not on site, they are required to be available by pager and cell phone to resolve issues. They may delegate call duties to another Radiology manager, always assuring there is a leader supporting radiology hospital operations 24/7. Manager/s are part of the management team and may need to respond to union contract issues and negotiations.

Required Education and Experience
Graduation from a Joint Review Committee or equivalent approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Five (5) years clinical experience as a Radiology Technologist or combination of years as a Radiology Technologist and in a Radiology leadership role.

Required Credentials
ARRT-R registered.
Washington State Radiology Technologist certification (WA-RT-CERT).
BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Preferred
Supervisory and pediatric experience.

Compensation Range
$126,805.00 - $190,207.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
