We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support the planning, development, and implementation of business processes, systems, and projects within the client's Retirement System. This role acts as a bridge between business units and technical teams, ensuring accurate translation of business needs into technical requirements. The BA will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders-including IT, finance, and member services-to optimize operations, support compliance, and enhance service delivery in the retirement benefits domain.

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support the planning, development, and implementation of business processes, systems, and projects within the client's Retirement System. The BA will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders-including IT, finance, and member services-to optimize operations, support compliance, and enhance service delivery in the retirement benefits domain.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, document, and validate business processes, system requirements, and workflows related to retirement benefits administration.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to define and refine business needs for system enhancements, policy changes, and new initiatives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, user stories, workflows, and use cases.
- Support solution design, testing phases (e.g., UAT), and implementation activities.
- Recommend improvements to business processes for increased efficiency and service quality.
- Monitor project deliverables, timelines, and milestones to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Assist in preparing training materials and conducting stakeholder education.
- Conduct gap analysis and assess the impact of policy or regulatory changes.
- Provide data analysis and reporting to support compliance, performance tracking, and decision-making.
- Assist in security and compliance tasks, including security risk assessments, remediation, and audit support.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts for critical systems.
- Coordinate vulnerability management tasks across systems and applications.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a senior business analyst or equivalent, preferably within a government, retirement system, or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in business process documentation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with Agile SDLC, process modeling, and system testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in SQL or analytics tools such as Power BI or advanced Excel.
- Strong understanding of retirement system regulations at the state and federal level.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with public pension or retirement systems.
- Working knowledge of pension administration platforms.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Industry certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
- Experience with security audits, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
