Summary:

The position of Director of Credit Administration is responsible for all technical aspects of the credit administration and loan operation functions within the bank- specifically monitoring lending underwriting standards and assuring quality focused operating processes and procedures are in place. Work requires independence in following through with a daily schedule to meet various deadlines with limited or no supervision. This position description is to be used as a guide for accomplishing the Bank's objectives and covers the primary functions and responsibilities of the position. Incumbent may be requested to perform other duties as they relate to the Bank and its objectives.

Essential Functions:

Supervises and works closely with the loan operations, small business and retail risk, appraisal, asset resolution, construction and related areas of credit administration.
Analyzes and reviews exiting credits to protect the quality and profitability of the loan portfolio.
Examines loan documentation on a wide variety of loans and loan commitment applications for adequacy and completeness.
Monitors loan concentrations and delinquencies
Directs, monitors, and appraises the performance of units immediately reporting to the position and provides the necessary coordination between activities.
Performs all work in compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
Understands, enforces, and adheres to the bank and regulatory agencies' policies and procedures.
Stays current with regulatory changes and recommends Bank strategies for compliance and complies with all policies and procedures of Bank and regulatory agencies.
Communicates, and develops/maintains positive relations with internal and external customers, including regulatory agencies.
Represents the bank in various community and business events portraying a positive and professional image to further develop business relationships.
Establishes and maintains relationships with peers in local and regional financial institutions.
Completes annual compliance courses.

Adheres specifically to all corporate policies and procedures. Also adheres to Federal and State regulations and laws; including, the Bank Secrecy Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Adheres to all levels of our Service Excellence standards.
Performs other duties as required.

Knowledge & Experience:

These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field or equivalent work experience.
Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business, accounting or financial industry related.
Intermediate knowledge of Bank operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills - ability to work with minimal supervision.
Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet and specialty software programs.
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct personnel.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Vision, hearing, speech, dexterity, visual concentration. A valid driver's license is required. Must have the ability to stand, walk, sit and use hands and fingers. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. The environment is a professional office with standard office equipment.

Must be able to pay close attention to detail and be able to work as a member of a team. Must have the ability to interact effectively with co-workers and customers, and exercise self-control and diplomacy in customer and employee relations' situations.
