Description:
We're seeking an experienced brand and communications leader to drive strategic initiatives across Shopbop and Zappos. This senior leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies that enhance both brands' market position, partnerships, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary architect of our brand narrative, managing external partnerships, communications, and strategic initiatives while providing counsel to senior leadership. This role offers the unique opportunity to drive brand awareness and growth of two distinct brands within the Amazon family of companies.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute vendor-funded activations strategy for Zappos, including production, brand partnerships, management, and reporting
Support and contribute to Zappos' exclusive brand capsule initiatives with top-tier partners to drive customer excitement and support new brand acquisition strategy
Oversee sustainability initiatives for Zappos and integrations in partnership with Amazon partner teams (e.g., The Climate Pledge)
Develop and execute sports partnership initiatives for Zappos to expand audience reach
Lead initiatives to grow Zappos' Kids business through strategic brand and external partnerships
Manage internal communications strategy and execution across both brands
Develop and execute communications plans aligned with business objectives for both Shopbop and Zappos
Lead and manage relationships with external communications agencies, ensuring consistent messaging
Coordinate with Amazon PR to provide strategic communications counsel to senior leadership teams across both brands
Create and maintain crisis management playbooks and lead rapid response efforts during sensitive situations in partnership with Amazon PR partners
Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers and stakeholders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience creating and executing integrated marketing lead generation campaigns using tactics that include live or virtual events, webinars, email, lead nurture programs, and CRM/sales insights
- Experience with Salesforce and Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $112,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $186,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
