PR Specialist, Senior
Key role

Shape, build, and execute proactive media campaigns that highlight the company's capabilities, impact, innovation, and people. Use earned, owned, and paid media channels to elevate Booz Allen's brand with public sector, technology, and financial audiences and influencers. Pitch stories, write content, and cultivate relationships with key media. Work with the Media team, VP of Public Relations, and business partners to anticipate, identify, and mitigate issues that could impact Booz Allen's reputation or market position. Help develop strategic plans and materials for a variety of initiatives and media priorities. Generate reports, briefings, talking points, and key messages for leadership. Work with energy and creativity as part of a high-performing media relations team, including collaboration with external PR agencies. Help keep the team organized and on-track, shepherding important programs to completion.

Basic qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technology PR or corporate communications
  • Experience developing and executing integrated media or marketing campaigns to include traditional and new media, as well as social media
  • Experience with a PR agency or managing and directing members of a PR agency team as a client
  • Experience supporting senior executives
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications


Additional qualifications:
  • Experience in integrated communications, including marketing, branding, or message development across earned, paid, and owned media channels
  • Experience with Meltwater, MuckRack, or similar tools
  • Experience with media and social media-related measurement and analytics
  • Experience with Crisis communications
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clarity, transparency, and speed in developing presentations, research, and content

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
