Duties and Responsibilities

We hire based on experience and potential. Here are some important expectations we have for our Software Engineers:

  • Writing correct, performant, self-documenting, elegant code
  • Experience developing software in Unity
  • Working confidently with technologies and languages such as C#, Objective-C, Java, Git, Xcode, Vulkan, and OpenGL on both Android and iOS platforms
  • Embracing Functional Programming concepts and designing systems to minimize bugs
  • Building and maintaining codebases across multiple applications and platforms
  • Collaborating across teams to align on requirements and technical solutions.
  • Investigating and recommending solutions to improve code quality and efficiency
  • Constantly learning new technologies and mastering new techniques
  • Taking the initiative and responsibility for the quality of the end product. If you see something wrong, fix it!
  • Ability to work 3 days in the office per week
  • Mentoring journey-level Software Engineers
  • Taking full ownership of delivery of complex features and systems
  • Contributing to team processes, code architecture, and standards
  • Consistently delivering quality code and ensuring thorough testing
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation related to any code changes.
  • Actively identifies areas for technical improvement and proposes solutions.


Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience working with Unity on a team
  • Ability to work in Portland, Oregon
