The VPQ in collaboration with the Regional Vice President of Quality will partner and collaborates with the nursing leadership and medical staff at both facilities to facilitate teamwork and the achievement of shared goals in pursuit of patient safety and quality outcomes.

What you will do in the role:
- Accountable to provide quality data, analysis and interpretation to Regional VPQ, hospital and medical staff/physician committees, and department directors
- Responsible for courteous, accurate and timely communication of information.
- Facilitating the use of clinical data and evidence-based best practice research to implement programs that ensure excellence in the delivery of patient care.
- Oversees the Patient Safety program operated by the Patient Safety Director including HCA's annual Clinical Safety Improvement Program (CSIP).
- Responsible for the vision and direction to lead Patient Safety Directors, Risk Managers, Infection Prevention, and all staff members.
- Promote a culture that is positive, that values individual strengths, takes risks, and is committed to optimal patient care, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Facilitate the growth of hospital knowledge regarding quality and high reliability, including the dissemination and implementation of "best practices" across the facility.
What qualifications you will need:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in healthcare, to include minimum of 3 years of management of individuals, and three years of experience with quality management.
- Baccalaureate degree required, Master's degree required upon hire or within 24 months of acceptance of role. 10 + years of progressive quality experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements.
- RN License in the State of Texas preferred.
- Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
