Mechanical Engineering Sales Manager

This full-time permanent role as a Mechanical Engineering Sales Manager offers an exciting opportunity at a well-established industrial manufacturer dedicated to producing environmentally friendly products. Salary: $85,000 to $115,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Managing, mentoring, and motivating the sales applications engineering team to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Engaging directly with customers via telephone, managing 20 to 25 calls daily, comprising 30% of the daily responsibilities.
  • Handling Request For Quote (RFQ) inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Leading regular meetings with the sales applications engineering team to discuss strategies and customer feedback.
  • Providing technical support to customers by assisting with engineering drawings and customizing quotes to meet specific needs.
  • Applying mechanical engineering knowledge technically to optimize the company's product offerings.
  • Proactively investigating customer requirements and engineering challenges to devise effective solutions.
  • Analyzing customer data and interacting with the sales team to provide alternative proposals tailored to client specifications.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in management roles within engineering sectors.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of industrial sales application engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with customers over the phone.
  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a Green Card.
  • Residence should be within 45 minutes' drive of Richfield, Wisconsin.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing teams within high-growth environments.
  • Previous experience in industries focusing on environmentally friendly or energy-saving products.
  • Knowledge in combustion engineering is advantageous.
