Basic Function
The current vacancy is in the Adult Mental Health Division in the department of Social Services. The eligibility list created by this vacancy may be used to hire other vacancies in the department or County.
To supervise and direct the work of Adult Mental Health Targeted Case Management and clinical services staff; to plan, organize, assign, schedule, monitor, coordinate, and evaluate the work of unit members; to provide training, clinical supervision, and guidance to staff serving clients with serious and persistent mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and/or individuals placed on indeterminate commitments; to provide direct clinical services including assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups; to perform administrative duties such as program planning, service evaluation, and quality improvement; to provide training and consultation to agency and community partners; to assist Human Service Managers in the development of policies, programs, and procedures; to actively engage with the community to build relationships, identify service needs, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective and accessible mental health services; and to perform related duties as assigned.

To supervise the clinical services staff in the provision of assessment, diagnostic and treatment services to clients; to provide direct treatment to individuals, couples, families and groups through psychotherapy; to perform administrative duties including planning and service evaluations; to provide training and consultation to agency and community staff; and perform related duties as assigned.
Flexible Workplace
This position is identified under the designation of 'flex work eligible', meaning that the employee can formally opt to be in-office full-time or work a flex schedule in which at least two-days per week are performed in office and other days can be performed in a remote-first environment. Examples of Work Performed
Promote a diverse, culturally competent, and respectful workplace. Meet with unit staff to discuss and resolve issues such as clinical case situations, conflicts among unit members, other employees or community agencies; and related administrative matters. Provide ongoing clinical and administrative supervision to staff. Develop, educate staff about, and monitor compliance with internal policies regarding private practice; procedures and policies. Monitor compliance with external policies, rules and regulations of payers and regulatory authorities. Provide orientation, instruction and supervision to staff and student interns; with regard to students, assign cases as appropriate; evaluate their progress, and coordinate and communicate with the college or university so that students learning is effective and meets standards their particular discipline. Provide manager with information, data and assessment of aspects of program operations. Monitor quality, quantity, efficiency and cost of program operations in assigned work unit. Recommend to manager necessary or desirable changes in program operations or new services, policies or procedures that are needed to respond to community or client needs, employee needs or to meet program goals. Advise and recommend budget additions, changes or deletions, and cuts for center operation to director. Collect, organize and analyze statistics regarding the relationship between diagnosis and length of service to determine the most efficient and cost effective clinical methods. Provide ongoing instruction in cognitive behavioral therapy, Trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and other evidence based practices to staff. Provide direct clinical services, including diagnostic assessments, individual and group therapy, rehabilitative services, case management, crisis services, etc. Assist manager in working with contract agencies and in community collaborative to represent the agency and move agency initiatives forward. Provide on-call coverage for various mental health and chemical health programs throughout the agency.
