Hybrid Accounting Manager

Join a leading global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of CNC machines, headquartered in Elgin, IL, as a Hybrid Accounting Manager. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you'll lead financial activities and play a pivotal role at the C-suite level. The successful candidate will be involved in high-level strategic decisions, providing comprehensive financial oversight and ensuring compliance with US GAAP during a period of significant growth. Salary: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with US GAAP.
  • Design and implement internal controls to ensure integrity of financial statements and safeguard company assets.
  • Develop global accounting policies to promote consistency and control across all regions.
  • Act as a primary liaison with external auditors, facilitating the audit processes to ensure timely completion of audited financial statements.
  • Assist in researching, evaluating, and documenting complex accounting issues and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Controller to enhance financial procedures and frameworks.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance or public accounting.
  • Proven experience in managing financial close processes within an ERP system, Oracle JDE preferred.
  • Mastery of US GAAP Accounting principles.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage finance staff and interact productively across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA designation or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector, particularly in businesses involving capital equipment.
  • Prior work with a Big 4 global accounting firm is a plus.

  • Advanced analytical skills for conducting financial analyses and report preparation.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of leading initiatives and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration across the company's global operations.
  • Technical proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with a preference for Oracle JDE experience.
