Amazon's Selling Partner Insights and Analytics (SPIA) organization is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) who will be a key contributor and sparring partner, developing analytics and insights for products that directly impact sellers experience on Amazon.
In this role you will:
Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our business needs.
Partner with operations/business teams/science/and tech teams to consult, develop and implement KPI's, automated reporting/process solutions and data infrastructure improvements to meet business needs.
Help drive new initiatives and data integration projects and apply your deep analytic and business intelligence skill to extract meaningful insight and learning from large and complicated data sets.
Support your leadership team with deep-dives and insights that improve our performance and productivity, so we can serve our customers even better.
Share best practices and mentor colleagues while demonstrating readiness for expanded scope and responsibilities.
Key job responsibilities
* Own the design, development, and maintenance of datasets, ongoing metrics, analyses and dashboards to drive key business decisions.
* Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
* Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers.
* Use analytical and statistical rigor to identify performance gaps and opportunities for optimization.
* Support central BI team in reporting on global marketing efforts.
* Promote best practices in ETL and mentor your team.
A day in the life
The Sr. BIE role will be focusing on Selling Partner Experience Analytics including customer satisfaction metrics, Amazon associate's performance, and more. This includes metrics measuring new contact channels like Chat and Escalate my Case, but also Global Operation metrics (service level, first touch resolution, average handling time and so on).
They will focus on creating actionable insights and recommendations and not just gathering data. They will have passion for data and analytics, be an independent innovator comfortable with ambiguity. They'll have strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Selling Partner Insights and Analytics team mission is to build listening mechanisms to gather frictionless SP feedback, generate insights at scale, and enable teams to prioritize and measure improvement opportunities. Selling Partner Insights and Analytics focuses on surfacing SP sentiment data/insights and connecting our stakeholders to actual SP experiences. The team performs analyses, creates visualizations and develops automated reporting solutions that help drive data driven decision making
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
