Lead Maintenance Supervisor

Join a leading plastics company located in Southern New Jersey as the Lead Maintenance Supervisor, where innovation meets efficiency to lead industry standards. This role is ideal for a visionary leader who excels in the management and development of maintenance teams. The successful candidate will direct a dynamic team, ensuring optimal operational performance through strategic management and hands-on expertise in various technical disciplines.

Salary: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department and manage a team of technicians.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure reliable and consistent production operations.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with technicians on the latest maintenance practices and company procedures.
  • Guide the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Enhance systems for electrical, electronic controls, PLC, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).
  • Plan and administer the department's budgets and control expenses to optimize resources.
  • Support facility growth by designing and integrating additional power solutions as necessary.

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, technical field, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a maintenance supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Solid foundation in mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
  • Proven experience with 220v to 480v electrical systems and power distribution.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and diagnostics.
  • Excellent leadership skills and the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Project management certification or proven track record in managing large scale projects.
  • Experience in the plastics industry or similar fast-paced manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification.
  • Advanced PLC and HMI programming skills.
  • Capability to implement Continuous Improvement processes throughout maintenance operations.
