Become a Regional Operations, Senior Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll oversee electric service distribution, including operations, line construction, and maintenance. You will handle workforce and resources required for regional operations and services , including crew and public safety. Serving in this role, you'll develop and maintain controls and processes for standardizing operations and performance management of Regional Operations across the SCE territory.

Key Focus:
  • Construction Resources: Oversees resourcing, scheduling, and execution of regional crew activities, and associated crew safety.
  • Construction Training: Develops Regional Distribution Training Crew (RDTC), including Apprentice skill development and training while performing programmatic or capital project work. Communications and coordination with Districts.
  • Construction Inspection: Oversees the Distribution Apparatus - inspections, replacements, installations, emergent, etc. This would include Underground Detailed Instructions (UDI) - inspections, remediations, gatekeeping, and programmatic compliance scope.
  • Team Leadership: Leads a team of represented and non-represented employees (e.g., Field Supervisors, General Foreman, Lineman, PSpecs, Advisors and Analysts).
  • Safety: Provides District/Region storm support for Resources / Equipment inside and outside the Region/Districts during IMT activations.
  • Environmental: Oversees resources designated to facilitate, advise on, and track EH&S Compliance efforts within the Region/Districts.
  • Organization Liaison: Functions as Authorized Edison Representative (AER) for select regional Distribution contractors (e.g., traffic control).

Responsibilities

  • Leads multiple complex energy delivery projects including research, design, equipment specification and selection, installation, start-up, commissioning and evaluation of work progress and results
  • Manages and drives intra-day schedules and levers in real time to meet service goals and ensure business continuity
  • Leads the implementation of multiple strategic and continuous improvement initiatives, leading all aspects of day-to-day resource coordination to achieve performance goals
  • Manages the processing of new work and the scheduling of work with internal and external stakeholders, tracking performance and conducting ad-hoc analysis in support of the company's goals
  • Oversees and monitors project or program revenues, profitability, and cash management to meet or exceed budgeted and forecasted values, tracking budget utilization to ensure efficient and effective usage
  • Manages and implements process and system improvements, manages communications, coordinates and delivers trainings for essential business processes, and drives development of new resources and tools
  • Oversees and manages department metrics, owning and updating business processes and documentation
  • Manages employee performance and establishes performance expectations and goals aligned with company objectives, policies and procedures
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity


Minimum Qualifications

  • Five or more years managing/supervising an organization/unit or typically possesses five or more years project management experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in utility leadership and/or operations, planning, construction, or engineering.
  • Two or more years of experience working in the Utility Industry.
  • Two or more years of experience working within key systems of record such as Click, SAP, Work It, Arc GIS, or SAS.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • One or more years of experience and proficiency performing advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including performing: VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, Mathematical Computations, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.
  • Experience analyzing data and large data sets from a variety of sources.

Additional Information
  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
