Academic Faculty Physician - Sports Medicine Greensboro

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking an open rank full time orthopaedic surgeon with significant sports medicine experience and subspeciality training in sports medicine. Practice will be in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Position Overview:

• Location: Position is housed in a busy subspeciality orthopaedic practice in Greensboro, North Carolina with a large and growing referral base
• Clinical Focus: The ideal candidate is able to treat conditions related to sports medicine with a community focus. Please note there are expectations for sideline and team coverage with appropriate compensation.
• Teaching Opportunities: Engage in orthopedic resident and fellow teaching, as well as participate in clinical and laboratory research if interested.
• Collaboration: Join a team of 90 faculty in the Department, 4 surgeon faculty, 1 non operative physician and 3 APPs in practice ensuring seamless referrals and collaboration.
• Call Expectations: Call expectations in alignment with other orthopaedic surgeons not to exceed 4-6 nights per month general orthopaedic call at a regional hospital in Greensboro
• Support: Current department of 90 total faculty includes 10 sports medicine surgeons, 10 APPs and 6 primary care sports medicine physicians. APP & Clinical support provided.

Qualifications:

• Certification: Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery with fellowship training in sports medicine. Sports Medicine board preferred.
• License: Eligible for NC Medical License.
