The Senior HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. This position will oversee all employee relations activities, policies, processes, procedures, and will demonstrate employee relations expertise, excellent judgment, and highly developed analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills. This position will help set the strategy for employee relations and support the HRBP team in handling workplace concerns and action plans and will provide intervention as necessary.
The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of Firestone Walker. The Sr. HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Overseeing employee relations processes and procedures to enable effective management, conflict resolution, and problem solving
- Conducting, overseeing and/or otherwise assisting with employee relation issues to manage employee concerns and grievances and to identify and implement appropriate employee action and accountability practices
- Staying attuned to organizational and operational changes across the company to identify potential employee relations risks and develop plans to address proactively
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and effective investigations
- Create and update job descriptions
- Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and adjust as needed
- Assist in screening candidates and provide guidance on hiring procedures to the hiring manager
- Conduct new hire orientation and process new hires in HRIS for respective business units
- Develop employment terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers
- Lead separation meetings and process employee terminations
- Consult with management on compliance with company policies and legal requirements and provides guidance when appropriate
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction
- Educate employees on compensation practices, including compensation, performance feedback, performance calibration, and career transitions
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; partners with the legal department as needed/required
- Assist with completing end of pay period timecard review and pre-processing payroll review
- Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results
- Assist with coordination of the Culturvation program and related employee appreciation activities
- Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
- Experience in a restaurant, retail, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
- Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations
- Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, boards, officials, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to compile, research, and analyze information.
- Ability to compose and present comprehensive reports.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

- Salary Range: $80,000-97,000/year
