Engineering technology is designing and building of enterprise wide structures, networks, servers, systems, monitoring, testing, telecom, security, storage and organizations to support the development team. Includes DevOps and Automation, Enterprise, Network, Platform, Security, Server and Service Delivery job families.

Qualifications:

Must have 10 or more years of experience working in a Z/OS mainframe environment.
  • Must have good communication skills. Must be able to communicate ideas and recommendations to members within technical services and other areas within the organization
  • Must be familiar with SMF recording and record types.
  • Must know, understand, and be able to work with the following:

SAS

MXG

Tivoli Performance Tool

OMEGAMON

WLM

JES3

Basics of JES2

Microsoft Suite of Products, (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • In addition to the list of applications previous listed, must understand the following:

CICS Concepts

PRISM Knowledge

Virtual and Real Storage

Z/OS architecture and LPAR Configurations

VSAM and DB2 Buffering
  • Must be able to work independently. Able to perform system performance analysis and/or perform performance problem determination with little to no assistance.
  • Must be available to occasionally work beyond or outside of regular scheduled hours.
  • Must be able to work well within a group environment.
