The Team

The Senior Manager, Corporate FP&A leads and manages a variety of critical workstreams focused on financial reporting, analysis, capital allocation strategy, and business valuation. Workstreams, including but are not limited to leading all financial quarterly and Board reporting in preparation for earnings releases and Board meetings, owning the process around and being the company-wide subject matter expert on weighted average cost of capital and REIT/impairment discounted cash flow analysis, performing capital allocation analysis to support the executive team in forming ongoing capital allocation strategy, serving as a key leader in any ad hoc financial analysis needed by the executive team and other business units across the company. Day to day, the Senior Manager serves as a strategic finance business partner to senior management, global finance, and business development teams, providing critical financial support and analyses for global business performance, mergers and acquisitions ("M&A"), capital expenditures, and other strategic initiatives. The Senior Manager will partner cross-functionally to deliver comprehensive analyses and evaluations of strategic initiatives and identify and quantify potential risks and opportunities associated with capital allocation decisions.

Responsibilities

What You Can Offer Us
  • Lead the Corporate FP&A process surrounding the REIT and goodwill impairment DCF including all preparation, process, and governance.
  • Serve as the process, methodology, governance, and subject matter expert on weighted average cost of capital in support of all American Tower's companywide business, market, and product line valuations.
  • Analyze the financial, qualitative, and strategic merits, and performance of global markets and products including existing operations, M&A, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives. Effectively communicate to senior management any risks, opportunities, and recommendations surrounding capital allocation performance and future strategy.
  • Provide critical insights and recommendations about the Company's capital allocation strategy and execution including M&A, dividends, capex, share buybacks, etc.
  • Review, validate, and analyze financial and statistical information from regions to support the quarterly earnings release process, including synthesizing financial performance and global variance analysis into meaningful messaging and actionable information for external reporting and executive financial decision-making.
  • Lead all financial Board reporting in support of quarterly and other Board Meetings including recurring and ad hoc board materials such as capital allocation analysis, deal lookbacks, and financial strategy presentations.
  • Manage the executive compensation process including target setting, year-end reporting, and pro forma/ad hoc scenario analysis on executive compensation performance and expectations.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for the executive team as needed including but not limited to vintage analysis, deal lookbacks, quarterly financial performance, valuation sensitivity, country and counterparty risk, and general financial modeling.
  • Provide support for quarterly forecasting, budgeting, and Outlook process including global P&L consolidation, ad hoc analysis, and other support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline required.
  • MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of finance, M&A, business valuation, and public company reporting experience is required.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with a solid understanding of public company financial statements, balance sheets, GAAP accounting, and statements of cash flow required.
  • Solid business valuation modeling skills, including a thorough understanding of discounted cash flows, net present values, WACC, and internal rates of return required.
  • Wireless industry knowledge or experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and particularly Excel and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn other software tools.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools including Essbase, TM1, and Oracle Analytics.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed-upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Approximately 70% performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
