Job Summary
The Center for Pain Management is a fast-paced procedural area, treating many different types of patients who are experiencing pain. Typical conditions include acute/chronic back/neck/joint pain, spinal stenosis, failed back syndrome, chronic regional pain syndrome, cancer pain, neuropathy and myofascial pain. This is a specialized role: nursing care includes developing pain management plans, administering pain relief medications, and assisting with exams. Nurses collaborate with providers, pharmacists, physical therapists to ensure a comprehensive approach to pain management tailored to each patient's needs. Nurses also provide education to patients and their families about pain management strategies and the safe use of medications.
Requirements: Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Current licensure by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Pain Clinic experience preferred. Prior Authorization experience preferred. BLS and/or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
Wage
Depending on your work experience, you could earn a wage from $36.00 to $52.20 per hour.
