Overview:

Premier America is seeking an Assistant Manager, TOP Premium Finance, who will be responsible for organizing, directing, and coordinating Top Premium Finance functions. Trains, directs and supervises department underwriters and collections representatives.

What You Will Do:
  • Conduct all customer account functions, including teller transactions, processing requests for new services, providing counseling and cross- selling appropriate products or services to benefit the customer and achieve established sales goals, interview customers and process applications for all types of consumer loans.
  • Analyze the financial position of each applicant to determine the level of risk for extending credit. Review all documentation for completeness and accuracy according to the organization's compliance guidelines.
  • Assist the Branch Manager in monitoring all branch activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Work in conjunction with the Branch Manager to achieve established objectives and to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Assist in training, directing and monitoring attendance. Evaluate and participate in performance reviews with the guidance of the manager. Interview for open positions and make recommendations to manager.
  • Support development of account relationships with commercial business customers. Participate in personal calls/visits, assessing needs and offering products/services to meet those needs. Represent the organization as appropriate in its relationships with sponsor and community organizations, suppliers, other financial institutions and similar groups including functions outside normal business hours.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Direct and control personnel and administrative functions. Direct and oversee monthly charge offs. Provide leadership to personnel through effective objective goal setting, delegation, and consistent communication. Train, supervise, and develop department personnel. Formulate and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with vendors, governmental agencies, such as the Department of Insurance and outside business professionals.
  • Assume responsibility for workflow activities of collections, lending, loan origination, loan processing, loan underwriting, loan funding and loan servicing. unsatisfactory conditions.
  • In conjunction with the manager of Top Premium Finance, assist in developing guidelines for premium finance loans and ensures that team members comply with such guidelines.
  • Recommend exceptions to guidelines to manager of Top Premium Finance for loan approval.
  • Direct the total delinquency process ranging from passed due collections calling, skip tracing and coordination to collect passed due payments from insurance agencies and members.
  • Direct the underwriting group to ensure timely and accurate funding.
  • Responsible for accuracy of the core system to reflect AM Best ratings in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Monitors and verifies that policy and procedures are in place for the underwriting of loans and the proper review of insurance documentation.
  • Conduct the reconciliation process for loan disbursement, referral fees and agency commission transactions to properly balance GL's.
  • Ensure team members provide quality service for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure functions are completed in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Direct the monthly statement process for all producing insurance agencies.


Requirements

What We Are Looking For:
  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • A 2-year college degree preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of branch and overall credit union operations, practices, and procedures. Understanding of related regulations, statutes, and filing requirements for both the credit union and insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of related computer applications. Ability to assist and supervise others. Well-organized and attentive to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and manage projects. Proficient in 10-key and computer operations Strong analytical skills.
  • A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically, it includes subject matter experts as well as first level and middle level managers.

Pay Grade Info :

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is: $35-$44 /hourly.
