Overview

The Director, Business Affairs will play a critical role on our team by working with newly acquired business units to align contracting processes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, negotiation and review of client and vendor contracts including scopes of work, timelines, deliverables, intellectual property requirements, etc. for acquired companies. Ensure terms and conditions are consistent with the Publicis Media's policies and objectives.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle from initial request through completion.
  • Identify potential risks and proactively address those risks during contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including, but not limited to, legal, finance, operations and business development to facilitate contract execution.
  • Provide guidance on contractual rights and obligations, contractual scope, and interpretation of terms to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement best practices for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Assist in resolving disputes or performance issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Lead contract-related projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in contract management, business affairs or a similar role, preferably within the media or advertising industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of contractual terms
  • Familiarity with advertising/media operations including client/agency agreements and media-related vendor agreements
  • Strong contract management skills including drafting, negotiation and finalizing complex agreements.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented thinker with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities, including ability to prioritize workflow, problem solve and offer practical and creative solutions in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work independently and effectively as a team, as well as interact with senior level executives and clients.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative and make decisions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A proven track record of problem-solving and effective decision-making

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $188,025 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
