PGS Worldwide is seeking a detail-driven and organized Manufacturing Engineer - Project Management Specialist to oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the chemical management system within a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary liaison with our chemical management vendor and supports engineering, compliance, and production teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Required Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
1. Chemical Additions
- Manage the intake and integration of new chemicals into the system
- Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to verify documentation and handling procedures
2. Chemical Notifications & Compliance
- Monitor and respond to supplier alerts, recalls, or change notices
- Work cross-functionally to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of operations
3. System Administration & Maintenance
- Conduct regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting for the chemical management system
- Ensure data integrity and accurate tracking of all chemical-related information
4. Production Floor Support
- Provide real-time technical support to manufacturing personnel
- Ensure proper chemical handling, storage, and safety practices on the production floor
5. Cost, Schedule & Process Optimization
- Analyze cost and inventory data to reduce chemical shortages and cut unnecessary spend
- Propose and implement process improvements for better efficiency and regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
- Proven experience managing systems within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of chemical handling regulations and safety compliance
- Background in project coordination, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Proficient in data analysis, cost tracking, and schedule performance metrics
- Excellent written and verbal communication and training skills
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
