Description:
About the Facility:
Total licensed beds are approximately 373.
There are around 46 ICU beds and 40 progressive care beds.
The facility has approximately 70 observation beds.
The emergency department consists of 30 beds.
X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine services are available.
Radiology Nursing support is provided.
There are 14 OR suites available.
Department Information:
The inpatient census is around 400.
An average of 175 studies are performed per day, with higher volumes during the week.
Two years of experience is required for this position.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Services include inpatient, observation, outpatient, and emergency department patients.
Imaging is provided in the emergency department, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable settings.
The x-ray team rotates to provide imaging services at a nearby rehabilitation facility.
Support within the Department:
Guest Services and Transport are available for inpatient and observation patients.
Technology/Equipment:
Electronic medical record system is utilized.
Radiology Information System is implemented.
Picture Archiving and Communication System is in place.
Department-specific equipment includes GE Precision R&F rooms, Shimadzu portable imaging systems, and GE C-arms.
Orientation:
Administrative onboarding consists of policy review and training.
Departmental orientation varies from 2 days to 1 week as needed.
Scheduling:
On-call shifts are required, with two shifts per month if needed.
Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays during their assignment.
Request for Time Off must receive approval from the Resource Team.
