POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Nursing is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of a continuum of primary and specialty care clinical services. The Director of Nursing is responsible for administration, monitoring and oversight of grants and programs related to primary and specialty care, government funded programs, and primary care for HIV services. The Director of Nursing collaborates with other leaders to integrate Clinical services with all Health Center programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct patient care as needed, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering nursing interventions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Foster a patient-centered approach, ensuring that all patients receive compassionate and respectful care.
Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical programs and services.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across all clinical departments.
Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest standards of care that meets all state and federal guidelines.
Manage clinical budgets, resources, and staffing to optimize operational efficiency.
Monitor adherence to the PCMH model of care (patient centered medical home) and develop supporting policies and procedures.
Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and support to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development for nursing staff.
Lead clinical team meetings and case discussions to promote collaboration and continuous learning.
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
Monitor and evaluate clinical performance metrics, patient satisfaction, and health outcomes.
Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.
Participate in accreditation and compliance activities, including audits and inspections.
Represent the organization in external meetings and forums related to clinical operations and healthcare delivery.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, quality assurance, and clinical best practices.
M.S.N. in nursing or related field
Experience working in a community health or FQHC setting.
Experience in Federal grant management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- B.S.N. in Nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri
- 5 years' experience in internal medicine/family medicine/community health
- 2 years' progressive management experience, including program planning, evaluation and budget responsibilities.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
