Description

The Project Director, Complex Care Dispute Resolution Portfolio, is a project-based role within the Camden Coalition (Coalition). The Coalition's CEO Kathleen Noonan serves as a mediator, neutral advisor and monitor in public-impact class action lawsuits concerning children's mental health, child welfare and more recently children's refugee resettlement work at the federal level. The Project Director will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of the ongoing projects in this portfolio including planning, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling project activities.

Requirements

Specifically, the Project Director will:
  • Develop the strategy and work plan to manage and support the day-to-day and long-term work for the projects in the Portfolio.
  • Lead/co-lead with K. Noonan and other team members routine meetings with parties, and other stakeholders as needed. Support preparations for meetings, i.e., develop agenda, circulate agenda, notes as needed. Complete post-meeting tasks. (Some meetings will be on-site, but remote options more likely with travel to sites from time to time, if possible.
  • Develop and implement survey/interview/case record review tools for monitoring work.
  • Draft reports for projects; finalize for publication.
  • Work with Coalition data team (or other experts), as needed, to interpret data elements appropriately.
  • Manage part-time/contracted experts working on projects.

  • Essential Functions

    Oversee all internal functions and processes in advancing the mission of the Coalition and its work on this portfolio including:
    • Manage day-to-day operations of project team.
    • Provide support and resources to project team.
    • Oversee the accurate and timely completion of project activity and financial reporting.
    • Ensure reporting to the Coalition CEO, Coalition Board of Directors, hospital executives administrative and other key stakeholders, as requested, to help informed decision making and strategic planning.

    • Attend relevant training as necessary to maintain professional certification and/or knowledge.
    • Adheres to CCHP's guidelines and ensures the appropriate handling of sensitive information.
    • May work non-traditional hours based on operational needs and to meet the needs of the community.
    • Completes special projects specific to the function of the department or as needed for the department as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
    • Other duties as assigned within the scope of position expectations.

    Experience, Education, and Licensure

    Experience: Acute understanding of the child welfare system. Experience in coalition and collaboration building at the local and state levels, with some national experience. Proven experience in grant writing and grants management, as well as in project development.

    Education: master's degree in public health, public administrative, or related field, plus 7+ years of experience in non-profit administration and management.

    • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
    • Although work is primarily indoors, you may be required to travel outside to business community locations.
    • Position are typically hybrid which requires a minimum of in-person attendance two days each week at the Camden, NJ office. This position is being exempted from this requirement because of its project-based nature.

    Salary Description

    $120,000 - $140,000 (yearly)
