POSITION: Director of Sales and Design

FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT

REPORTS TO: Senior Director and General Manager

GENERAL FUNCTION: This role is pivotal in driving sales growth, leading design initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of top-notch, regulatory compliant security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, design, and electronic security systems, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading successful design projects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in Sales and Design within the Electronic Security industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading successful design projects.
  • Minimum seven years of experience in technical management with at least three years of experience in the Electronic Security Industry or related low voltage system design
  • Experienced in systems design, implementation, wiring, retrofitting systems, integration of systems, central station equipment, Wide and Local area networks and associated equipment, Access Control, CCTV and Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Experience in reading and interpreting Security Systems Specifications and floorplans
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex problems.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Sales team to ensure high performance and goal attainment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to inform decision making and strategy adjustments
  • Oversee the Design team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, innovative design solutions
  • Collaborate with the Design team to align Design strategies with Sales goals and market trends
  • Ensure that all Design projects meet client specifications and regulatory compliance and are delivered on time
  • Foster a creative and collaborative environment within the Sales, Design, and Drafting teams
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, and other departments to ensure cohesive strategies and execution.
  • Provide insight and feedback to improve product offerings and customer experiences
  • P&L Responsibility over Design Revenue

OTHER:
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment to include over-time
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to drive clarity from ambiguity and ensure understanding between internal and external customers
  • Must work well with others in a team environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance
